Quite often this time of year I’m struck by Seattle’s beauty. Often associated with gray skies and drizzly days, the city literally glows when the sun comes out. A little secret that I’d like to share is that autumn in Seattle can be a great time to be here. Sure, you’re going to risk the occasional rain and crisp, foggy mornings, but there are few things more lovely than a sunny autumn day in this city. If you visit and are looking for a great photo-op, I’d recommend taking the Seattle-to-Bainbridge ferry. Pulling away from the terminal, you’ll get a great view of the Seattle skyline, the waterfront area, the Great Wheel (another great place to take photos), and other classic sites. These photos were taken the first weekend of October and look at what a beautiful day it was! There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity of the ferry terminal in Bainbridge, so catch a ferry, grab lunch, and enjoy the sites.
